Challenger Approaching

Tonight you guys are battling pokemon style <3

Each team will have 1 trainer and 4 pokemon. The pokemon will face off 1 on 1 in some task. It may be trivia, copying posts, writing a poem, idk. It's Luigi's deal, ask him. The point is, the pokemon that completes the task first/ most correctly wins the point. After 4 rounds, whoever has the most points wins! If there is a 2-2 tie, the trainers themselves will duke it out.

Each team needs to elect somebody to be their leader. This person will be responsible for sending each pokemon to battle. The order in which you battle may determine the outcome. Each player needs to pick a pokemon from the FIRST generation. Numbers 1-151 I believe and post it in their confessional, on this thread, or in their team's room. Just post it somewhere and we will see it.

The pokemon you choose may also play a role. If you are playing as a water pokemon and your opponent is a fire pokemon, things are gonna get a little dicey. In that case, the water pokemon would have a slight advantage in the challenge. Not an impossible one, but a boost.

You may use this chart to determine how pokemon types affect each other. Make sure you scroll down and use the one that says "Generation I"

Look at the very top of the "Attacking type" column at Normal Type. The 1x means they are on even ground with those pokemon. The 1/2x under Rock means that Rock has a slight advantage over Normal. And the 0x under Ghost means that it cannot attack Ghost pokemon.

In the interest of fairness, all 0x's will be treated as 1/2x. So if a Ghost and Normal pokemon compete in this challenge, the Ghost would have a slight advantage instead of automatically winning.

When choosing your pokemon, please visit their page on that same website, bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net, and click on their Generation I stats, on the right side bar under "Smogon Pokedex." The hosts will confirm what type your pokemon is before the challenge.

I'm sure there are many questions, which is why this challenge will probably not start on time. We need as many people to play as possible for this to work.

Alright guys. I'll be posting 4 scrambled words relating to Pokemon. It'll be the competing players' job to unscramble them and post the correct answer in their diary room. First one to get it correct wins the match. You can guess more than once and I will inform you if you're wrong. Also, as a twist if your pokemon has an advantage over your competitors, you will be given one of the four words unscrambled in your diary room, which will give you an advantage in your round. First team to three wins, WINS immunity! First set will be up once you both get your shit together and decide who is doing what!

By the way, once the deadline is up. Whoever of the two battling has the most right will win. If however one of them gets them all right before the deadline that person wins. I don't think I made that clear so I'm just clarifying.
